R2D2 is missing!
When Luke returns to the workshop, R2D2 is missing - he escaped the farm in the search for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Luke looks out for the little astrodroid, but Artoo is gone. And after dark it’s too dangerous to go looking for the droid - the sandpeople are out there, waiting for careless wanderers.

This is not Skywalker’s brightest moment. He has let himself trick into removing the restraining bolt by a little droid, has not even got what he wanted, and now Artoo is gone and Skywalker is not man enough to get him right back.
What a poor performance!
