Obi Wan Kenobi
Luke, Ben Kenobi and the droids go to Ben Kenobi’s safe home.
While Luke repairs C3PO, Ben Kenobi tells Luke that his father really was not a freighter pilot, but a Jedi Knight just like Obi-Wan Kenobi himself and fought in the clone wars.
Obi-Wan Kenobi also gives Luke the Legacy of his father - a blue lightsaber which Luke’s father told Obi-Wan to hand over to Luke when he is old enough.
Obi Wan tells Luke about the Old Republic, where the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice for over 1000 generations - before the Empire.
Obi Wan also tells Luke how his father died. He tells him that a young jedi - Darth Vader - a pupil of Obi Wan before he turned to the Dark Side of the Force, helped the Empire to hunt down and destory the Jedi knights. And that Darth Vader betrayed and murdered Luke’s father. And now the Jedi are almost extinct.
Obi Wan gives Luke a lesson of the Force as well: “The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things - it surrounds us, and penetrates us, it binds the galaxy together.”

Listen to old Kenobi! His words sound good and wise and true. But you and me, we know that what he says is far from the truth!
Betrayed and murdered! Ha! And i never gave him my lightsaber to save it for Luke!
At least there is no talking of Midichlorians!

[…] An epic Austrian science fiction-faerytale? Sounds like a stretch. And without doubt, Ainoa was filmed with more passion and love for the film than money, and it took five years to bring Ainoa to the screen. Don’t let the trailer fool you into thinking Ainoa is an action-adventure á la Star Wars, even if there are some things that are redolent of the science fiction classic. The Sunfather (Florentin Groll) is more than just “inspired by” Emperor Palpatine in Return Of The Jedi, and watching the film you might feel like the great Sir Alec Guiness, who reportedly had no clue what he was doing, what was going on and what was the meaning of his lines when filming Star Wars. The director, Marco Kalantari, may have noticed his failure to convey the story to the audience, but heavy written exposition at the beginning of the film doesn’t help and you still feel left out when the characters talk about locations and events you just can’t relate to. On the plus side, Ainoa is beautifully photographed and offers a poetic journey of an android-girl slowly discovering herself, her human side and finally love, and thoughts about destiny and eternal love through time. While i usually think it’s best to see a movie without knowing too much about it, in this special case i recommend to carefully check out the Ainoa website before seeing the film. It offers a lot of background information to locations, events and characters and will make it a lot easier to enter the world of Ainoa. […]
