Obi Wan Kenobi tells them those are not the droids they are looking for. He uses a jedi mind trick to convince the stormtroopers.
The stormtroopers are easily convinced that these aren’t the droids they are looking for and that Luke can pass.

How do you bring together being a “good guy” and messing with other people’s brains?
It’s not a nice thing to do, manipulating thoughts and feelings - the good guys tend to call it “brainwashing” when done by somebody else!
