Threepio informs Luke that all systems are alerted due to their presence. The main entrance seems to be the only way in or out of the cellblock. All other information on this level is restricted.
Stormtroopers are already demanding entrance to the control room in which C3PO and R2D2 are hiding.

And more stormtroopers are cutting off the way to the main entrance of the cell block.

‘Can’t hold them off forever!’
The princess is not very impressed by her rescuers. ‘When you came in here, didn’t you have a plan how to get out?’
‘He is the brains, sweetheart!’
But Luke doesn’t have a plan, either.
