R2D2 tries to fix the problem.

The turbo lasers of the Death Star stop firing.

Then the TIE-fighters arrive.

“Fighters coming in, point three.”

The fighters open fire and Wedge’s X-wing fighter is hit.

Wedge: “I’m hit! I can’t stay with you.”
Luke: “Get clear, Wedge. You can’t do any more good back there!”
Wedge: “Sorry!”

“Let him go - stay on the leader!” commands Darth Vader.
“Hurry, Luke, they’re coming in much faster this time. I can’t hold them!” They are directly behind of Biggs now.

“Hurry up, Luke! Wait! Quick!” shouts Biggs before he is hit.

Bigg’s fighter explodes.
