Hoth Rebel Command Center

Han enters the command center, where the rebel leaders including Princess Leia Organa are at work setting up and securing the base. Leia looks at Han as he enters but he ignores her.

Han Solo reports to General Carlist Rieekan that all life sensors around the base are in place and that Luke Skywalker is not yet back in the base because he is checking out a meteorite. The General remarks it will be difficult to spot approaching ships with all that meteorites out there in the Hoth system.

Princess Leia listens to Han Solo telling General Rieekan that he has to leave.

There is still a price on his head and if he doesn’t pay Jabba the Hutt Han will be a dead man.

“You are a good fighter, Solo. I hate to lose you.”

In this short scene, we learn a lot about Han Solo and his relationship to the Rebels.
Han has changed since the Battle of Yavin - he is more responsible now and he is moved (and very serious - no sarcastic comment) by the respect the Rebels have for him. But he still has to leave - not because he sticks his head out for nobody like in the past, but because there is still a death mark on him, and Jabba the Hutt’s bounty hunters are not only a danger for himself, but also for the Rebels.
And in the same scene, there are strong hints about Han Solo and Leia - he tries to ignore her and speaks to the General first, but there is electricity in the air as soon as Han is in the same room as Leia.
