Major Derlin hushes the Rebel lieutenant. “Still no contact with Skywalker or Solo”, the lieutenant whispers, realizing Princess Leia is in the hangar, waiting for her friends to be found.
But the Princess has overheard them.
And Threepio reports to her that Artoo Detoo has been unable to pick up any signals. But, he adds, even Artoo admits his range is limited and that it’s too early to give up hope.
But Major Derlin can’t comfort Leia.
“Your Highness, there’s nothing more we can do tonight. The shield doors must be closed.”
Leia nods, and the Major orders to close the doors.
Chewbacca is worried about Han and Luke also.
Artoo beeps, and Threepio translates “Artoo says the chances of survival are seven hundred seventy-five…to one.”
